Devon Rex Cats

In 1960 in Devon a Mrs Beryl Cox found a curly-coated male cat in a litter of feral cats whose father was thought to be living in an abandoned mine. The mother was a a tricolored (tortie) female. This male was named Kirlee.... he was the first Devon Rex cat.
Since then through a program of crossing out to other breeds the Devon Rex breed has become extremely popular. With their large bat ears, inquisitive nature, Pixie faces, Devon rex cats have been likened to 'Gremlins' or even ET! We have been proud breeders of these cats since the begining of the 80s and were the first to carry out a thorough test mating schedule for myopathy.
In 2007 we moved to Brittany in France and finally in 2008 we decided to stop breeding Devon rex's and still have 7 but all have now been sterilised and live a very happy life in the French countryside.
